// Have finally got around to uploading these shots from a session in Edinburgh. Walking past a brand new waterfront development in one of Edinburghs up-and-coming areas I was struck by the clash of old versus new. Installation of well designed benches (top left) that are in-keeping with the areas dockyard history have been positioned with pleasant views over the forth. Whilst elsewhere along the waterfront indications of the areas history have been preserved (top right). However, once you look past the barriers of the builders fences to the derelict land adjacent to the development, a different story is apparent (bottom left, right). The old barrel has clearly been left there for many years; while evidence of more recent abandonment is also present - a shopping trolley from a relatively new nearby supermarket.
